Accessibility Statement
Our commitment to making Irish Calculators easier to use across devices, screen sizes, keyboards, and assistive technologies.
Our accessibility approach
We aim to make calculator pages and guide pages clear on desktop and mobile, with readable typography, strong contrast, structured headings, visible labels, keyboard-friendly interactions, and content that does not rely only on colour.
Accessibility features we aim to support
- Responsive layouts for mobile, tablet, laptop, and desktop screens.
- Visible labels for calculator inputs and clear button text.
- Keyboard-friendly FAQ, tab, and form interactions where possible.
- Readable colour contrast and focus states for links and buttons.
- Plain-English content with headings, lists, and short sections.
- Inline SVG icons used as supporting decoration, not the only way to understand content.
Known limitations
Some older calculator sections, tables, charts, or third-party form elements may still need improvement for keyboard navigation, screen reader wording, or small-screen spacing. We also need to keep checking new calculators and guide pages as the library grows.
